Alias the Whisperer

God of Shenanigans. Not one of his "proper" titles but it's the one that sums him up the best.

The first of several deity portraits for the Æspherium Council, a pantheon that I created, both for a book and a Pathfinder campaign that OnimeNoKyo990 is planning. There are major gods for each of the nine alignments, and Alias is the ole Chaotic Neutral. His symbol is a spider whose legs form the shape of his mask. His design was actually a lot of fun! I pulled reference from stuff I don't usually look twice at(namely jesters), and mixed it all together into this awesome thing. 

Also, that background is 3D rendered because I wanted to see what would happen. I think I made it work, but I also don't know if I like it. Trying to get all of the perspectives right on Alias and his hat (especially his hat) was ridiculous. So, yeah. I'm still practicing my lighting, in this case featuring interior ambiance, direct light from the moon outside the window, and backlight from the candle. Arbitrary? A little. Effective? Yes. Still don't know how I feel about the rays from the window but I can't take it back now. Fix it in the next one.
